Latest and Greatest!

Tight access is no longer a problem even when the project requires the use of a larger high capacity pile. The newest member of our Helical Pier Products Family, the CHPP—Composite “Helical” Pipe™ Pile System has combined the standard slender shaft helical anchor lead section provided by various manufacturers with a thin wall steel pipe casing in diameters ranging from 8”-10” with larger custom diameters available upon request. This composite displacement pile utilizes pipe tube sections in lengths from 2’ - 10’ which are connected in the field by bolting hydraulically swedged male and female pipe ends. The square end connections allow for extremely high torque to be applied in dense soil conditions. The engineer then has the option of filling the pipe with concrete or steel reinforcing for added strength. No noise, no vibration and no spoils makes this the perfect choice for underpinning larger structures in tight access situations as well as those directly adjacent to unreinforced masonry buildings. Installation costs for this high capacity concrete-filled pipe pile are comparable with any slender shaft grouted helical anchor on the market today.

Because You Deserve A Choice!

Our versatile anchoring systems offer a wide variety of possible solutions for your next project. No job is too big or too small. AST, Inc. represents multiple manufacturers product lines allowing us the ability to provide you  all sizes of standard square shaft material, as well as round shaft piles ranging in diameter from  2 7/8” -  24” round and unlimited lengths.

Our Versatile Anchoring Systems Offer a Wide Range of Applications

Simple, cost effective methods providing UPLIFT RESTRAINT for new construction and retrofit situations. Helical anchors can be installed in lieu of conventional concrete piles to support MOMENT FRAMES, BRACE FRAMES, DAMPER SYSTEMS and to shore structures during the installation of BASE ISOLATION systems. High capacity anchors are installed in limited access situations with minimum disruption to building occupants. Utilizing helical anchors also minimizes or completely ELIMINATES SOIL SPOILS REMOVAL.

UNDERPIN existing structures and provide permanent deep foundations in new construction applications in LIMITED ACCESS situations. Uplift restraint brackets can be installed in conjunction with most underpinning projects at minimal additional cost.

Helical anchors can be installed in permanent or temporary  TIE BACK projects offering the advantage of instant loading and verifiable capacities immediately upon installation, as well as the ability for easy anchor removal.

Our
SOIL NAILING product line affords the engineer and contractor an alternative to conventional retaining wall construction. This process utilizes the helical anchors as part of the permanent wall by creating a gravity soil mass which can be covered with shotcrete or gunite for permanent applications. Temporary erosion control can be obtained with helical anchors by “nailing” simple chain link fence or geofabrics to the slope face thereby affording a substantial cost savings on a quick repair.

Environmentally sensitive areas benefit from our
BOARDWALK product line. This proven system offers the advantages of providing an instant foundation in wet land locations with no excavation, concrete, spoils removal, vibration or noise. Screw pile foundations also offer the ability to remove and relocate the boardwalks if desired.
